Stack choice
This question stalls more people than any other, usually for longer than it deserves. Here's the comparison that matters, and how much it matters.

The verdict
Want the widest pool of fresher openings in Bangalore? Java. Want the gentlest start, or think you might move toward data? Python. Genuinely can't decide? Java. The volume advantage is real and the fundamentals transfer either way.
Most of what makes you employable is language independent. Data structures, algorithms, SQL, how HTTP works, how to explain your reasoning under pressure: none of that changes with the language, and all of it is what interviews test.
Developers switch stacks routinely. The second language takes weeks, because the concepts transfer and only the syntax changes. Spending three months deciding costs far more than picking the marginally less optimal one.
Two situations. If you already know where you want to work, check what that company's fresher postings ask for and follow it. If you're fairly sure you want to end up in data or machine learning, Python is the more direct foundation.
Outside those, pick whichever you find more pleasant to read. Motivation through the difficult middle of a program matters more than a marginal hiring statistic.
Neither, at fresher level. Compensation tracks the company and role far more than the language: a product company pays more than a services company regardless of stack.
Eventually, and most working developers do. Not simultaneously as a beginner though. Splitting attention early is the most reliable way to end up unable to clear an interview in either.
No. Python is growing quickly on the back of data and AI work, while Java remains embedded in enterprise systems that will run for decades. Both are safe choices.
Python, clearly; the AI ecosystem is built around it. Worth separating two things though: using AI tools in everyday development is normal in both stacks, while building ML systems is Python territory.
